Film Review:

I just love documentaries because it tells what reality is going on the community, no scripts and purely the true behind of the title. This documentary was my most favorite one because of the good shots, because of the organize scenes and most especially the story itself by the children. It also made me realize a lot of things how important education is, how important to be guided by the parents, how important to give appreciate thing in a little way. In this documentary, I appreciate the three different jobs by the different children. They have different experiences but the common denominator are; they don't have a proper education, their parents don’t have enough money to support them so that they would stop working and send them to school and they have big dreams that they want to achieve.

This film purely captured behind the scene of the work of the children. Their story was about why they choose that kind of job? Why they stop studying? What will happen to their health if they continue to work at the very young age? And, what are their dreams?

As I watched the film, a lot of question come across my mind, a questions that I can’t figure out why this children already experienced this kind of life but as I continue to watched the documentary somehow it serves a controversial to the government that despite of their million and millions of programs put up for a certain projects there are still this kind of alarming situation by the children who don’t deserve this kind of life.

Film Review :

I was not fan of this kind of story but when I saw this film I have learned to appreciate it. I just love the story very much, and how the characters play with their role. I love to hear their pronunciation especially when they called the name of Mr. Darcy. This film should be watched carefully so that the viewers could understand the true meaning of the story.

The setting of the film already tells how the story will be look like. You can also distinguish the characters role whether they were protagonist or antagonist. One of the highlight of the story was when Mr. Darcy reveal his love Ms. Bennet and Ms. Bennet refused that love even if she is in love already. In this film, there are lots of intervening characters which pervading the main characters and it beautify the film. The end part of the movie was quite hanging and as a Filipino viewer of the film we always wanted to have a happy ending. But overall, this film was one of my favorite because for me, it is not the typical love story that when a man reveal his love to a woman they always ended up kissing, cuddling or more than that. It tackles how someone express his/ her feeling of like and dislike for someone or something especially when Ms. Bennet believes that Mr. Darcy is not reasonable and logical. Their love survive the pride and let go of what they feel for each other without prejudice at all. The film mirror how the parents long time ago decide who will be the husband or wife of their children.

Everyone who will watch this film will truly enjoy it and see how the people long time ago handle love, family and pride.

Conquering Love

WEST SIDE STORY (1961)

MOVIE INFO

This romantic musical update of 'Romeo and Juliet' won ten Oscars. The tale of a turf war between rival teenage gangs in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen and the two lovers who cross battle lines has captivated audiences for four decades. The Stephen Sondheim/Leonard Bernstein score is just one of the reasons.

Film Review :

The West Side film is more likely to Romeo and Juliet. I’m a big fan of musical film but I don’t appreciate this film perfectly maybe because it is not suitable for my age but nevertheless the storyline was good.

One of the parts of the film which is climax is one of the best part of the story. The scene wherein the different gang where currently fighting and all of a sudden they came to a point of killing each other. That scene was one of the breathtaking part of the story and it has a very good ending which was not the typical ending of a film.

The plot of the event was properly synchronized and as well as the way the characters sing and dance very well, they sang their different song in a way of expressing on how they feel. I just love how the characters fell in love with each other and find ways to be with each other’s arm even if it was forbidden. They don’t mind the rules set by their own society but they were brave enough to face all the consequences in the name of LOVE.

Film Review :

Little Miss Sunshine has certified good location. They have travelled different places which also have a story to tell to the viewers. I find this movie serious but it has a touch of comedy. The film grammar good even if there are some lines that rated SPG. The scenes was synchronized and anyone could understand it properly.

The characters has a different and distinctive way of portraying their role especially the little one who always wanted to be a beauty queen, his father who don’t want a failure and whose being perfectionist, her mother who always supported her in her dreams, her brother who don’t wanted to talk, her uncle who merely killed himself because of being a broken hearted and he grandfather who always wanted to experience the different side of the world. In this movie, you can’t decide which is which the antagonist because all of them served also as a protagonist who became a better person because of the dream of the little girl who joined a certain beauty contest. In that journey to that big event, their lives change and came to point that they wanted to give up.

In this movie, I’ve learned to love the characters and learned from them. Indeed, their little Miss Sunshine was their baby girl.

Film Review :

This movie is one of my favorite because the movie itself mirrors the reality that has been happening in the society. The characters was able to portray their roles with so much confidence, even the extra roles in this movie did a very god job. This movie touch my heart because of the characters themselves, especially the family of Maximo which don’t have a decent job and probably the viewers will always understand why the police wanted them to put in jail but at the same time, viewers will understand why they have that kind of job. This movie was somehow open my eyes on the reality behind living in the squatters area, being a gay who have a family who don’t have a decent job and especially turning between saying what’s the truth or not saying any words at all just to cover your brother’s crime.

The presentation of the story is very understandable even if there are shots which was not quite clear but overall, the sequence of the story was organized properly. The location of the film suits very well in this story. The introduction shots of the story was the shots wherein Maximo was walking and in that first shot the viewers will already have an idea.

I just love highlights of this movie wherein the brother of Maximo killed someone and the scene wherein his father die. I couldn't help but cry because you can feel the pain of seeing in your own eyes the death of your father.
